What Are Skills?
You know how a regular AI chat answers everyone the same way? It is friendly, a little generic, and it tries not to push you too hard. It is like talking to a helpful stranger who does not really know you.
A skill is a small text file that gives your AI a personality and a job. When you add one, the AI stops sounding like a stranger and starts sounding like a specific kind of coach. One skill might be a tough trainer who keeps you accountable. Another might be a calm guide who helps you think clearly about money, or relationships, or your health.
Think of it like putting on a different pair of glasses. The world is the same, but now you see it through the eyes of someone who is really good at one thing. The AI is still the same AI you already use. The skill just tells it how to show up for you.
Why does that matter? Because the way something is said changes whether you actually do it. A reminder from a gentle voice and a challenge from a relentless one land very differently. A skill lets you pick the voice that helps you most, for the part of life you are working on right now.
That is the whole idea. No coding, no setup headaches. You copy a little text into your AI, and your chats start working for you instead of just answering you.
